For the last 12 years, I have been involved in software development and small business management. I started at a small healthcare startup in San Diego, CA. After working there for a year and half, we sold the company to a healthcare firm in Nashville, TN. After moving to Nashville, I began working as a consultant and did software development work with IBM, Motorola and Comcast. I then took a position at RAD Solutions and worked as a software developer and also became active in training for Microsoft and Macromedia (now Adobe). I then started my own training and consulting company which lead me to Dell where I helped build a new logistics and shipping program that revolutionized Dell's shipping systems and won the award for the best cost saving program of 2004. At that point, I took a position as CIO of Dealerskins who was a client of my consulting firm and helped grow their online presence until we sold the company to in 2006. During the buyout, I started at the Owen Executive MBA program and after serving the required time at Dealerskins, began to work with the underserved local business community through online marketing with Local Search Masters.

I’ve been doing sales with Local Search Masters from its beginning and have enjoyed watching our clients’ businesses grow. I am passionate about helping to grow LSM to being the top online marketing company in the world. I’m an avid sand volleyball player who loves to compete in all areas of life. I studied History and Political Science at Belmont University and received a Masters of Education from Tennessee State University in 2006. I love working at LSM and meeting new people who are concerned about growing their business or at least playing 18 holes with me and faking it. I am a really good sales guy that really hates sales guys. I will always shoot straight with you and never sign you up to fail. Oh and as a side point I am also the best Karaoke performer/dancer in the Southeast. Maybe the world.

With a background in everything from life and health insurance sales to accounting, it is safe to assume that I have experienced all sides of business, professionally. At 19, I decided that the typical college jobs weren't for me and I decided to go into insurance sales. After earning my Bachelor's in Finance from the University of Tennessee, I took a job with a traditional marketing agency in Nashville as an account executive. During that time period, I was able to work with international luxury goods manufacturers and also with some of the largest publishers in the U.S., which allowed me to further understand the intricacies of marketing theory. Within my first year with the agency, I became infatuated with all things online marketing and my position within the company evolved into the Director of Online Marketing. During the rest of my tenure, I had the good fortune of becoming a regular patron of the online marketing conference circuit. After being the catalyst for the agencies movement into online advertising, I accepted a position with Local Search Masters as the Vice President of Operations.

I consider life in general to be a very long learning experience and I apply this philosophy to everything that I do. I am extremely analytical and I am doing my part to bring accountability to marketing, one reporting metric at a time. My goal with every client is for Local Search Masters to become an extension of their companies and to create the most value possible for every one of our clients.
Aside from all the colloquialisms I could use to describe myself; i.e. “straight-shooter” and such, I am an individual dedicated to putting my all in to any task I am given or assigned. Prior to Local Search Masters I did work in every industry, very literally. I have ten years of experience in Restaurant Management and operations, five years in computer technologies, and even ran my own small business. I bring this heart and passion into the work we do as a team; “working as though I am working unto the Lord.” |
